Jay J. Wommack is President and CEO of Vertical Alliance Group, Inc.
Vertical Alliance is a company that provides business development and online training services for numerous clients across the country.
Jay graduated from Hendrix College in 1978 majoring in accounting and economics. After a brief stint in the banking business he moved to the oil fields in central Texas where he started and operated a salt-water disposal company.
Returning to his native Texarkana, Texas in the early 80’s he earned his brokerage license and began an 18 year career as a stock broker and financial advisor.
In 1999, Jay got the itch to try something new. The internet was coming on strong and he wanted to get involved. It started with a company he called BubbaJunk. Initially BubbaJunk was intended to be an online classified advertising page featuring products that appealed to country folks. However, over time, the site strategy was changed and BubbaJunk became a recruiting site for trucking companies. The site sold in 2011 to a major corporation and had become the number 1 producing site in its sector, nationwide.
While BubbaJunk was growing, a parent company was established – Vertical Alliance Group, Inc. In addition to the flagship site, 84 other business development websites were created. In 2008, Vertical Alliance ventured into the online training arena. Today, Vertical Alliance continues to manage its business development sites but the online training division is expanding rapidly. While it started with programs addressing driver safety for trucking company and school buses, it is now addressing subjects with mass appeal.
Beyond business development and online training, Jay’s company now provides training boot camps, seminars, consulting and workshop services.
